Six Months Ago...

Well, it seems as if my last post was over six months ago. I apologize as our family has been busy. We are in the process of planning Mandy's wedding and I am in charge of her Bridal Shower. I am so happy for her and can't wait for her wedding. I will try to keep everyone updated!

Summer Ending, Let the Fall Begin...

Well, I haven't posted in awhile and summer is almost over. Fall is my favorite time of the year and it is right around the corner. Right now, the family is adjusting to going back to school and trying to get back into a routine. Nothing too exciting. Things are good at the moment and I wouldn't have it any other way! :)

Trent and I are planning to return to the Smoky Mountains this fall. We usually go every year in the fall but we went this summer and was thinking about going somewhere else this fall. However, once we got there we missed it and decided to continue our tradition. On the TTC journey, we are continuing to pray that we have an addition to the family sooner rather than later. Please keep us in your prayers!!! :)

Happy First Anniversary!

Well, I still can't believe that it has been a year since Trent and I got married. Time has flown by!!! I am sitting here writing this blog at 12:45 am. We have to get up in a little more than an hour because our flight to Las Vegas leaves early. We are celebrating our anniversary with a trip to Vegas...Viva Las Vegas! :) I am sure we will have fun but I know that I am going to be tired this morning! UGH! I will post more once we are in Vegas.

Surgery Update...

Okay, so it has been over a month since I last posted. On April 1st, I had a diagnostic laproscopy surgery because my OB/GYN and I wanted to know "what we were working with." He said by the end of the surgery we would our results and know which path to take whether it would be to start ovary stimulation medication or IVF. He decided to use the DaVinci robot during the surgery because he said that it would provide less pain, faster recovery time, and it would be more precise which would help maximize my chances.

On Wednesday, I was really anxious because I was definitely hoping for the best but as many of you know...the other outcome is always there in the back of your mind. The surgery itself wasn't too bad although I wasn't expecting to have as much pain as I do. When I got out of surgery, my OB/GYN said that I had some scar tissue which he removed, a cyst or two in my uterus, and a small cyst on my ovary. He said that everything looked great!!! I was SO relieved. He said the next step was that in 4-6 weeks we would start Clomid and FSH injections. He said "don't be surprised if you end up pregnant with twins!!!" LOL Of course, I am ready for anything. I am hoping this process doesn't take months or even years because my DH and I are ready for a healthy baby. However, I will be patient because I know when it is our time...it will happen.

Everything is going well. Still a little sore (yes, even after a week and a half.) However, I am ready for the next 3-5 weeks to fly by so we can start Clomid and the FSH injections. I am ready to get this process started! :) Hope everyone is doing well! ((HUGS))

Life in General...

Okay, so I have decided to take a few small steps to change my life for the better. Six days ago, I decided to cut out one of my favorite things...Mountain Dew. Then I thought...why stop there? I decided to cut out one of my other favorite things, which is sweets. I have been married almost ten months and it has been so amazing but I have also put on a little weight. I decided that now is the best time to start taking better care of myself. On April 1st, I am having surgery to "check out my insides" as I like to think of it to see if there is anything unhealthy going on inside. Trent and I hope to start a family soon so my physician wants to make sure that everything is "normal." I keep telling myself that I want to be the healthiest I can before my surgery so that if everything goes well...we can start trying right away. I am ready to be a mother!!! :)

As for the rest of my life, things are good. My job is good, school is good, and my family is great. My sister is doing so much better. She looks AMAZING and I can't wait for April to get here so I can go with her to New York City to watch her perform at Lincoln Center. I am such a proud BIG SIS!!! Then, in May...Trent and I are going to Las Vegas for our first anniversary. I know that a lot of exciting things are going to happen here shortly so I want to be in the best shape possible.

I will keep you posted on my progress! Thanks for checking-in..... ;)
